Pellet Feed Cooler

The Pellet Feed Cooler is mainly used for cooling animal feed and wood pellets. It lowers the pellets coming from the pellet feed machine at 70–90 °C to a level 3–5 °C above ambient temperature and brings them to a safe moisture content.

The cooled pellets not only gain hardness; mold formation is also prevented. This is extremely beneficial for the transport and storage of pelleted feed.

Technical Specifications

  1. The cooler can cool pelleted feed arriving at 70–90 °C down to within 3–5 °C above ambient temperature.
  2. The counter-flow cooling principle ensures the particles are cooled completely and evenly; the slide-valve discharge structure provides smooth operation and discharge.
  3. The air lock is used to feed the cooler. With its large inlet area and powerful cooling effect, it provides low energy consumption.

Mode of Operation

  1. Thanks to the adjustable-speed system, the drum and screen rotate at the set speed; as the drum rotates, the pellets are separated from dust and cooled from top to bottom.
  2. Fine dust is discharged from the front of the drum screen, while good granules are discharged from the rear of the drum screen.
  3. The pellet feed cooler consists of a rotary screen drum made up of a rotary screen and its frame.

Operating System

The pellet cooler consists of a speed-adjustable rotary-screen drum and a main body with air-suction stacks. The main body contains suction fans that draw out the hot air and dust generated together and allow ambient air to enter the drum.
