Thanks to the vertical mixing mixer and electronic scale that make up the Öztan Feed Preparation Machine (Mixer) — used to produce the feed required on livestock operations in the highest-quality and most economical way — the desired concentrate animal feed is made at high quality, low cost and the most affordable price.

Since the öztan mix feed preparation machine has the ability to operate in combination with the feed grinding machine, there is a mill-feed reservoir bunker on the mixer with a capacity to hold 500 kg of grain.

Feed accounts for 70% of the overall costs of livestock operations. The öztan feed preparation machine (mixer) is designed to make livestock operations profitable and has the ability to mix the formulas applied in feed production in the best possible way.

Feed Mixing Unit (Mixer)

  1. It operates with a 4 kW, 1.450 rpm motor.
  2. It can mix 1 ton of feed at a density of 0,7 tn/m³.
  3. Thanks to the vertical auger, the homogeneous mix has been verified by tests.

Bagging (Packaging)

  1. The bagging capacity is 6 tons per hour; it is operated manually.
  2. During manual discharge, the desired amount of feed can be filled into bags by referring to the electronic scale.

Electronic Scale (Optional — Optional)

  1. It ensures the weighing required for the raw materials in the feed formula to enter the mix at their exact quantities is done accurately.
  2. It offers bagging at the desired amount when discharging the feed whose mixing is complete.

Feed Mixing Machine (Mixer) — Operation

  1. The feed mixing machine is started while empty.
  2. The red line on the level sight glass indicates the maximum fill level of the feed.
  3. Full homogeneity is achieved with a 6-minute mix.
  4. Using the feed discharge lever manually, bagging and transfer to the silo are carried out.
  5. No feed is ever left inside the machine; it is fully discharged.

Feed Mixing Machine (Mixer) — Warnings

  1. Electrical faults should be resolved by an authorized electrician.
  2. Bearing and belt replacements can be done by the operation's technical team.
  3. If a welding machine is to be operated near the mixer, the scale's power must be switched off.
  4. Never leave feed inside the mixer.

Feed Mixing Machine (Mixer) — Operation

  1. Oats are not added at more than 10% of the total mix.
  2. The moisture content of the feed materials entering the mix should be at most 14%.
  3. Molasses and similar products are never put inside the mixer.
  4. If liquid vegetable oil is to be added to the mix, the amount should be at most 4%.
  5. The minimum amount to enter the mix should be 5 kg.
  6. For homogeneity, the smallest mix should be 250 kg.

  1. Amounts are tracked from the scale display.
  2. Bag fill weights are done by following the countdown on the display.

Feed Mixing Machine (Mixer) — Maintenance Notes

  1. The homogeneity time for each feed batch mix is 5–6 minutes.
  2. Discharging each feed batch takes 5–6 minutes.
  3. No feed is left inside the mixer.
  4. The mixer is not switched off until feed production is finished.
  5. The mixer bearings should be lubricated at the end of every 100 hours of operation.
  6. Belt tensions should be checked frequently.
